The calm of a cozy nest
Here we are, Sylvie and Denis, your hosts. An entrepreneurial dream, a common retirement plan. This is what we achieve with Au coq du bonheur. Magog was the location by excellence to carry out our project because of the lake, the mountains and the atmosphere of the downtown area.
Estrie is a region of choice for hundreds of sporting, cultural, gourmet and tourist activities. In addition, it is only a few minutes from a large center (Sherbrooke) and not very far from Montreal.
We wish you the most cordial welcome to our lodging.

We have installed silent and independent heating and air conditioning units in each room to improve your comfort.
Our rooms
Le coq du bonheur has 3 bedrooms, one of which, is a suite. Each room has its own private bathroom, WiFi included and AC. Our bright veranda is where we serve our homemade breakfast with seasonal and local products from our region. A different menu is set every day. During a sunny and beautiful day, we will serve breakfast on our outside patio.
The Boho suite
Located upstairs and has two large windows, one with a view of the courtyard. In addition to the queen bed, this suite has a double sofa bed that can accommodate one or two additional people, a fee of $40/day for one person or $60/day for two.

Christian Pamerleau
The Painter
We are pleased to exhibit the watercolor works of Christian Pamerleau in our guesthouse. You can admire them in the rooms and elsewhere in the guesthouse, where they are also available for purchase.
Artistic Approach
Always drawn to drawing and painting, Christian Pamerleau has dedicated himself to it intensely, yet discreetly, for nearly ten years. His artistic journey has been enriched by his interactions with leading figures in Quebec art – Richard Bélanger, Pierre Tougas, and Jacynthe Comeau – who acted as mentors during workshops and private lessons.
Watercolor has become his natural medium, perfectly resonating with his sensibility. His figurative approach is inspired by his daily life, from natural landscapes to urban scenes, which he translates with finesse and emotion.
Encouraged by the success of his first exhibition “The paths of the ordinary” in 2023, he initiated a real turning point in 2025: his exhibition “From the ephemeral to the concrete” presented in September at the studio M gallery, marked the official unveiling of his pictorial work, thus fully affirming his dual identity as an artist.

We serve homemade breakfast every day. We favour seasonal and local products from our region. During spring and summer, we serve breakfast on our large outside patio.
Pool and outside patio
In summer, our swimming pool, our large furnished terrace and our flower-filled courtyard are yours and you will love lounging there.
On cold days, you will enjoy snuggling up in the warmth of the guest lounge and enjoying the warmth of our wood-burning fireplace with the sound of background music.
Few steps away from downtown and the lake
The lodge is located a few steps from the majestic Lake Memphremagog, rue Principale, close to restaurants, shops and the old bell (Vieux Clocher), where artists and comedians perform year-round. A prime location and everything you need for an unforgettable stay.
